Academic Interest Group

Biztech AIG

Biztech is the Academic Interest Group for Systems & Technology domain at IIM Lucknow. It was formed with a vision to promote Product Management & Analytics as an interest and career option among students. The Group was awarded the best AIG of IIM Lucknow in the very first year of its inception.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Placement related preparation for both 1st and 2nd year students.
  • Conduct events to increase understanding of the Product Management role in industry.
  • Build awareness on Analytics among students through case competitions and live projects

Consulting & Strategy Club

The Consulting & Strategy Club (CSC) is a student association which aims to provide a platform to IIM Lucknow students to develop their interest, aptitude and orientation in the profession of management consulting and strategy. It seeks to equip students with the tools and resources necessary for careers in the consulting domain through a series of exposures to live projects, case studies and strategy games. Moreover, CSC aids the industry veterans to tap the immense potential of students at IIML and gain fresh and academic perspective on real life problems.

HELICS - HR Club

Helics is an Academic Interest Group in Human Resource Management conceptualized and came into being in 2016.

The aim of the club is threefold:

  • To provide a platform to the student community to engage with and promote the interest of study of the HR discipline.
  • To facilitate the student body understanding of the HR domain through academic and extracurricular activities.
  • To build industry-relevant HR skills in the student community and bridging the existing gaps through training and development.

IGFAB

IGFAB is a group of enthusiastic upcoming managers and is the sole student representative in the domain of Agri-business Management at IIM Lucknow. The Academic Interest Group IGFAB, at IIM Lucknow, was formed with a vision of making a difference in agri-business by disseminating awareness about the domain, attempting to carve paths for conserving the environment and diffuse subtle prosperity in rural India by undertaking socially relevant activities.

The major objectives of the committee are:

  • Bring together agribusiness professionals on a common platform for exchange of ideas.
  • Create opportunities for the students to display their problem solving skills.
  • Provide a taste of real time challenges to students by giving them an opportunity to work on prevailing business scenarios in the agri-business domain.
  • Disseminating awareness on critical issues related to agriculture/agri-business.

The core functioning areas of the committee are around rural marketing, Food Retails and their supply chains, Agri-finance or microfinance, food and agri-business scope and sustainability.

Operations Interest Group

The Operations Interest Group (OIG) is the Operation’s Academic Interest Group of IIM Lucknow. It aims to promote interest in the field of Operations Management through interactive games, quizzes, case competitions & newsletters. The Group puts continuous efforts to explore the horizons of Operations/SCM and share them with everyone.

  • Conduct events to promote Operations as an interest and career option among students
  • Provide detailed analysis of important breakthrough events in the field of operations
  • Assist in placement related preparation for both 1st and 2nd year students
  • Acts as interface between organizations & institutions interested in collaborating with IIM Lucknow on supply chain front
  • Keep the students informed with the latest trends in Supply Chain Management and Operations

PRiSM

PRiSM is the marketing Academic Interest Group of IIM Lucknow and aims to foster marketing skills among the students of IIM Lucknow.

SIGFI

Special Interest Group in Finance (SIGFI) is the finance Academic Interest Group of IIM Lucknow. It aims to promote finance as an interest among the student community, and enable them to stay abreast of the latest developments in finance and economics.

  • Provide detailed analysis of important financial and economic events.
