Instructions for applying Online:

Step1:

Candidate must have


  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification (CA/CS/ICWA) with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD Categories). The degree must be awarded by a recognized university/institution in India or abroad. Minimum of 15 years of formal education (10 + 2 + 3 or 4 system). Foreign degree equivalents must be recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
  • In case of the candidate being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the conversion formula provided by the institution/university from where they have obtained the Bachelor's/Master's degree. In case the institution/university does not have any conversion formula for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IIML by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100.
  • Score of any one of the following tests:
    • Valid GMAT/GMAT Focus/GRE score (within past 5 years).
    • Online GMAT/GMAT Focus /GRE (Take home) exam scores are not valid, only test center-based GMAT/ GMAT Focus /GRE scores are valid.
    • CAT Score (within past 5 years)
  • A minimum of 3 years full-time post-qualification (after graduation) work experience as on August 31st, 2025. Do not include freelance/training/project work done as an integral part of any curricular requirement.
  • Caste certificate (Proof of SC/ST/OBC if applicable)
  • Differently Abled (DA) certificate if applicable
  • SSC/10th Std/Equivalent mark sheet and certificate
  • HSC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent/ Diploma course mark sheet and certificate
  • Graduation/ Professional qualification all Semester/Term mark sheets and degree.
  • Proof of work experience, i.e., relevant certificate(s) along with first & last/latest salary slips- if applicable.
Step2:

Register yourself and fill out all the sections of the online application form completely.

Step3:

Upload the scanned copies of:

  • A recent, recognizable colour photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) should be uploaded by the candidate in the online application form in jpg/jpeg format.
  • The signature of the candidate in jpg/jpeg format.
  • Score of any one of the following tests:
    • GMAT/GMAT Focus/CAT/GRE score (within past 5 years) (PDF File)
  • Combined scanned PDF of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) mark sheet & certificate,
  • Combined scanned PDF of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) mark sheet & certificate,
  • Combined scanned PDF of Bachelor’s Degree, all Sem./Term mark sheets & degree certificate;
  • EWS/SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable;
  • Certificate of disability, if applicable;
  • Combined scanned PDF of all experience, relieving letter & first and last salary slips. Please do not upload an appointment letter or joining letter;
  • Specific dates of joining and leaving the organization(s) need to be mentioned.
  • Self-employed professionals may submit a personal declaration stating the exact dates of their employment along with necessary documents.
  • Receipt of online application fee (non-refundable) of INR 2000.
Step4:

Once you click on the 'SUBMIT' button at the end of the form, you will not be allowed to change the form.

Step5:

Short-listed candidates will be required to present all original testimonials at the time of the online document verification / personal interview.

Step6:

In all matters relating to the admission process, the decision of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is final and binding on the applicant.

Step7:

No correspondence will be entertained from the applicant regarding his/her non-selection.

Step8:

IIM Lucknow reserves the right to change, modify or adopt any new admissions process that it deems necessary at any point.

Step9:

You will be required to make a payment of INR 2000/- (non-refundable) towards application fees to complete the application process.

  • Note that you will not be able to make any changes to the application once it is submitted. You may like to “Preview” the application very carefully once it is completed before submitting it. The system will allow you to “Preview” the application multiple times before you “Submit” it.
Step10:

Only online submission of the application form will be accepted.

Step11:

Incomplete or false information will deem your candidature void.
